Battery Backup + Apex

Was wondering if there is any way to configure it in such a way that the battery backup doesn't kick in when the Vortechs are switched off by the Apex?

Patheticsquid,

When controlling your pump via the Apex, you will need to contact Neptune for more information on programming and features.

I think you misunderstand, my pump is controlled by my Reeflink, it is plugged into an Apex powerbar. Is there any way of turning the pump off entirely? I want the backup to not kick in when I cut the power through the Apex.

Pathetic,

If you have a Battery Backup connected, the unit will go into Battery Backup each time it looses power assuming you have the Battery connected.

You can do this by creating a virtual outlet with Apex. Then in your control program, reference this outlet at the end of your code. For example, name your virtual outlet VR. At the end of your control statement type if outlet VR = OFF then off. Normally, control VR is set on for normal programing. But when you manually set VR to off, it will turn the pump off without the backup battery coming on.

There is a little trick to create the virtual outlet in the first place in the modules page, you may need to research this in the apex section.

Question, so I have an mp40 but no battery... Yet... So if I have the mp40 setup plugged in but set to zero on the hand set ( but plugged in ). If I lost power would the mp40 automatically kick on when power is lostif I buy a battery??? I'm hoping to setup a mp40 that will only turn on in power outage. And run off battery.

Also second question.. What is runtime of vectra m1 on battery if it's the only thing on it? If there is a range can you give me a ballpark number.

Thank you much

Nathan

All of this sounds like a headache.

The Apex wxm module is $124.00......That controls it without completely cutting the power so you can turn it off digitally without worrying about the back up batter kicking on.
