Bay Area Coral Farmer's Market - Who is going?

well after the 7 hr drive wore off i was left with great thoughts of the event. wish i could have stayed longer and got in on some of the blowouts but it was late and my cooler was getting full. time to build a bigger tank so i can get more stuff. looking forward to the next event, anyone have any insight on it.

Matt, my hat's off to you for your hospitality, never a ? asked. i always leave Matt's palce with a smile and a coller full of candy, and some id's on stuff that i didnt even know i had.

To the vendors, great display of awesome pieces, i came with a few things that i had to leave with and low and be hold, they were there, and many more, and i left a happy, a little poorer, man.

Wish the drive wasnt soo long, maybe they will hold the next one in portland, then Matt will have to drive :D

was a great time

Somebody wanted to see pics.

My sister grabbed my camera and took these of my booth. And no I am not ORA, I just never got a banner made. I have always asked ORA for support with the CFM's and any swaps I attend.

They have always provided corals for these events. I support them heavily. I asked them to send me a banner of theirs so I can advertise for them. They are a great company but I am not affiliated with ORA. I have my own business..lol

I think I gave that speech 200 times on Sunday. I will definitely have a banner next time... I said that after the So Cal market but ummmmm I like to procrastinate.

Thanks again all that attended. I had a great time. Keep me informed on the how the corals do for everyone. I would love to see pics of the combo rocks after they finish filing in.

Hey Todd,

That's me in the second picture with my girlfriend! Ha! Didn't even notice I was photographed, I was too involved with your cherry corals!

Thanks for everything Todd, you had a great deal going, and I picked up some awesome pieces from you!

I'll post pictures of the corals I got later so everyone can see :)

I got some cool pieces from AWExotics as well. A nice monti cap with blue polyps (I guess not exactly a cap though), and this awesome dark blue mushroom with bright blue circles on it for my wife's nano. Great stuff!

Yes! The vendors were INCREDIBLE, to say the least. I've never seen so much primo stuff in one place.

There was definitely no shortage of anything. It was a matter of deciding which ones you really wanted. This was made worse by the Blue Light Special prices. What suprised me was the amount of nice frags priced from $15.00 to $5.00.

Hector - you gotta let me know who you are next time, bro. I'm strongly considering checking out the SW-CFM in February;)

Karl, Mike,

I specifically asked someone where you guys were at (seeing that there was nobody there wearing bright green, orange, or pink. I asked Lapsan, and that's probably where I went wrong. :D

I then ran into Jesus who actually had hair on his head. That shocked me so much, that I forgot what I was doing.

My new tank should be up by the SW show, so I will definitely go to that (schedule permitting). There are a lot of cool folks in So Cal, but I hear the buying is more fierce.

Hehehe Hector, I didn't have my Green shirt on, but I didn't show up until about 1:30-2pm anyways. If you would have asked for the guy who was sneezing like crazy then I would have been easy to pick out.

Mermaid was off the hook! (crap did I just say that? damn) Just wish they had a few prices I had a feeling some of those might have been triple digits in price :)

Nice meeting those who I met, sorry if I didn"t look too I had a massive alergy attack early in the morning and it lasted until umm about now, my nose was so red looked like I was a cocaine addict (I got lots of comments about "where's the shirt"

Also want to thank Matt (Al G Blenny) he gave away a ton of stuff right at the end.

Should have asked them as they were not in the triples, but in the doubles ;)

Owesome. Some people say that the Blue polyp cap is a pelitformis (sp???)

I try to ID the obvious but will generally let the species names be more descriptive. I call it a Blue poly Cap, since we in the hobby seem to refer to "Cap's" as plating Montiporas.

Well, anyway , glad you like the corals. Let me know how they do, longterm.

Hey Todd,
Thanks for the great trade. Man that Monti is killer. I think that one should be more popular than the Superman. I'm going to put it on my site soon. What did you call it? The Mille looks great also.

I decided on "AWE Mile High Monti" Blue/purple with Red/orange polyps

The Mill is my "AWE Rouge mill"

Thanks for the good words. I can't say enough good things about tradin with you. That Fireman's monti looks sweet, and the Rainbow monti's are definitely a favorite.

We wil have to get some more trades going once we get settled in after this show

 I didn't feel like going 'birdcage' that day.

Jesus needs to shave it again. Bald is beautiful.

I definitely have to check out the SoCal version. If I can just convince my buddy to just fly this time. I hate driving long distances:(

IMO flying is cheaper. My time is worth more to me, then 12 - 16 hours down time + gas. Even if you value you time as low as $10 an hour, your still saving by flying :D

True. Plus with Southwest's cheap airfares, you could get away with an inexpensive (appx. $69) special one way flight from NorCal to SoCal if you book at the right time. I drove because Sacramento isn't that far :)
