Another question I have why does everyone seem to use the grey fittings? I can get a regular white ball valve for like $8. But the grey sch 80 is like $25.

if you try to turn the schedule 40 ball valve and the schedule 80 ball valve then you will know. The white one you really need to put pressure and turn the knob. The grey one you can turn it with one finger. Year from now it will be hard for you to turn the white one. The cepex industrial ball valve is pretty good and it came with both slip and thread fitting. Also it came with a key so you can adjust the tightness in the future.

nice set up.

Do you feel you have enough flow with just the CL?Are you going to add anymore flow to the tank?

It has 3 1" returns on top from the sump using eductors and a DART return pump which really agitate the top water very well for me and also creates a nice swirl down the front of the glass...

The CL is a Dolphin 4300GPH and I have 4 1" OM nozzles 2 are Dual output they create a nice clash of flow to each other and to the sump returns.. So far I think Its fine.. But I will have to see how the coral reacts I guess...

Elliott for what I would consider a Narrow tank 24" It has a nice bit of 3D feel.

Would love to have some monster 48" W But I have no room for that right now..

if you need more flow later you can always swap the Dart for a pressure rated pump (sequence Marlin, Iwaki or Pan World), the net effect with the eductors would be significantly more flow in the display and less flow through your sump, a nice combination

very nice

very nice

man I hope my big tank looks like that after I finish building it... that is once we decide on what house to get and where to buy the tank from.

oh man thats some nice stuff there though

at this point not yet.. Its a process that has to go through the home owners association before I start cutting up the roof and sticking domes out of the roof that everyone can see.

Also another guy here is AZ is close to putting them in and I would like to help him or watch and check them out once they are in for the final decision.
