BBS / Brine Shrimp Hatching Problems

Well, this evening I have set up the hatchers again, both with the same water, same air flow. The only thing I've swapped is the egg sources...#1 went into hatcher #2 and vice versa...if the eggs from each batch hatch the same way as last time, we know it's the eggs. However, if for some crazy reason the same HATCHERS have the same hatch rates, then something else is up ;)

FWIW, Dan @ Seahorsesource pretty much agrees with the general concensus that somehow the one bottle of eggs has become contaminated/spoiled.

FWIW,

Matt

OK, so now I'm boggled. Both batches hatched JUST FINE tonight. All I did was swap hatchers between the batches of eggs. CLUELESS and stumped at the moment...looks like the first bottle of eggs hasn't gone bad afterall.

OK, anyone? Did I just run into a "fluke" of sorts? Maybe overnight temps (which doesn't explain why one would hatch and one didn't)?

Matt

Could be a temp thing Matt. I had a suggestion to run the bb hatchery over 850 as well fore better turn out. I have put a heater ion mine when I needed quicker hatchs'. Just something to look at, for you know I know Nottin'...tooo...new...Carl
