Just went out on my lunch hour and fired the generator up and let it run for about 15 min. this weather has me a little gun shy. or maybe it is just the boy scout in me that has to be ready!!!!!!

Power went out for a while and the generator ran the house for a while:)

Mine fires up every Saturday around noon!

well mine is not that fancy i have to drag it out of the garage and run extension cords. i am having a buddy wire up a transfer switch sometime but i don't need much. i have wired a plug in to my furnace so i can plug it into an extension cord too but not much use in the summer my generator is not big enough to run the central air. i plan on building a house down the road and trust me it will have a big generator like you high rollers.

I have a modest one that is gasoline powered and that has to be started with a pull-cord. That said, it's saved me numerous times. My power went out about 12:30pm last Monday and was off until 11:30am on Tuesday...23 hours. :P It took me awhile to get it going Monday afternoon, but I'd hate to think what would have happened to my tanks if I had not had it!

Definitely worth every penny it cost!

I took some girls from my school to the metrolink station in Fairview last night so they wouldn't have to wait around on the bus during the bad weather...as we went around the ramp from 255 to 64 we saw the funnel they said was heading towards Granite...I wish we could have got a pic, it was freaky!!!

I am SOOOOO glad we invested in a generator this winter!!!
