Beadlet anemones YIPPEEE!!!!!

Hi everyone!

I have not been here in a while, but I am back. I have tried to locate some beadlet anemones (actinia equina) on this continent, but to no avail. I had found an outfit in Georgia that had them on the list of things they could get, but had none in stock.

Finally I gave up and ordered some from England, without much confidence in the success of their survival. Well, guess what? They are here, they are healthy and they are so pretty! I have had them for over a month now, and they are adjusted to the warm-ish temperature of my house (72) and they are happily eating frozen krill. I am pretty thrilled about these little guys. I have two red ones and two green ones.

I tried to post pics, but the only option I saw was to get them off of a web site and I do not have one yet. I just have pics on my computer and I do not know if I can post them just like that (they are jpg files). Any ideas would be appreciated

Here you go folks. The white stuff in the mouth is the digested food (krill) being expelled.

Oh, and the stripes on the closed green one are amazingly fluorescent (is that the right word?): they glow REALLY bright under blue moonlight. But my camera won't take a picture of that.

The red one looks like a warratah anemone...I saw a place recently that had screaming blue ones- Prolly photoshopped though...
