Hi everyone!

I have not been here in a while, but I am back. I have tried to locate some beadlet anemones (actinia equina) on this continent, but to no avail. I had found an outfit in Georgia that had them on the list of things they could get, but had none in stock.

Finally I gave up and ordered some from England, without much confidence in the success of their survival. Well, guess what? They are here, they are healthy and they are so pretty! I have had them for over a month now, and they are adjusted to the warm-ish temperature of my house (72) and they are happily eating frozen krill. I am pretty thrilled about these little guys. I have two red ones and two green ones.

Cheers!

I tried to post pics, but the only option I saw was to get them off of a web site and I do not have one yet. I just have pics on my computer and I do not know if I can post them just like that (they are jpg files). Any ideas would be appreciated :)

Oh, and the stripes on the closed green one are amazingly fluorescent (is that the right word?): they glow REALLY bright under blue moonlight. But my camera won't take a picture of that.

The red one looks like a warratah anemone...I saw a place recently that had screaming blue ones- Prolly photoshopped though...
