Delron (sp), I have used at work for dies intead of Aluminum in stamping processes.....its sort of self lubricating like teflon....good stuff.
I got some of that rod from Tap (1/2" rod, a masonry bit, holdfast).........I have three mongo sized rocks I am going to use as "feet" like a bridge and make an island in one corner, bridge it to the other "island" and have a third island.....the design will probably evolve as they always do, but I am going to pin them and get some cool rockstructure hopefully. I have a couple of pieces that are monolithic and want to try to get a valley thing going too, mabe the monmumet valley look?......hopefully a little bit of everything.....but perhaps the best thing is, by experimenting with SPS placement lately, I don't need to go up that high due to my 250's over a 75 and in fact have been frying them a little lately. So that will lead to stability. and more realestate.......but it will probably all change as I get started.
I agree though, rockwork is one of the most or least creative things one can do with thier tank.
Flow patterns, shows how nerdy I am, are something else I spend a lot of time with, esp. with SPS.
Speaking of DIY, I have a design in my head that I got from DarkDevils tank,(my Senior project team member),............I can design it on 3D CAD, perrhaps we should get together and build it to raffle it off to a MARS member?....I don't really have room for another tank,(much less build one), but have a great idea for a DIY edgeless to build for fun.
