Picked up this wrasse from SC on Saturday.

Came home today and he's gone. can't find the body but since its a breeder tank there aren't many places to hide. =)

Getting tired of my bad luck!

any of those aggressive carpet or tenticle filled thingys in there?
Or are they jumpers?

I was talking to cosmo about this disappearing fish thing today.
I've found fish in crevice of light hood, under tank, stuck to the side of a sump and the inside of the tank stand.

Does that variety of wrasse bury like the coris and such?

I have the same fish i picked from salty about 10days ago. last two days the swimming pattern has got me a little suspicious as it was not happening before. the fish will dive down vertically from the top of the tank to the bottom to the point that it is more than a vertical dive. then again it will swim normally and continues to eat. i have no idea what is going on but does look fat and overfed. no spots anywhere, color is still good and not breathing heavy. So after hearing your story my fingers are really crossed.

Sorry to hear it MJ. I would say that its probable that you will find a dried up corpse when you least expect it. When I moved my last tank I closed a couple 'missing' cases.

wrasses are known jumpers, I would look around the outside of the tank - where I have found plenty of my past wrasses
