Beautiful Mag coming

pics above were about 90 mins after introducing it to the aquarium this pic was taken 5 mins ago...all lights on now.

Ok well day one is done and went very well. The nem did not move at all and has looked great all day. We shall see how it does over night hopefully does not decide to wander about the tank.

It seems to love the flow as it is getting hit from both mp60s as well as the return that comes from a different angle.

If you look at the last pic I posted earlier you can catch a glimpse of the foot below some of the tentacles....not really brown has more of a brick red hue to it.

The mag does look good. Especially for one that's fresh off the boat.

I do have to back up Phil and Minh though. The oral disk and base of tentacles are the color of zooxanthellae, or brown. Not the blue/purple color showed in the first pic.

Day two has gone by and the nem looks just as good as in pics of day 1 only a little bigger. As for the color I am taking pics with my cell phone as I do not have a very good camera but I can tell you that the nem is the color shown in the first pic from aquasd. I am just happy to be able to say that this nem is acclimating to its new home just fine and is off to a much better start than anticipated,

Very good.

Glad to hear it.

You can make a video and upload it to youtube and post it here right on the post.

Here is a short video showing the nem enjoying the flow and continuing to acclimate well.

I have to say it looks very healthy and a wonderful specimen but it is far from advertised. Unfortunately, that is often the case with advertised mags.

not sure if it was too soon/early on but as I fed Rod's original to the tank today I noticed the nem grabbed 2 small pieces of krill that were floating around and ate them....hope that this is just another sign of the nem doing well.

Well very happy to report that going on five months with this nem and it is just absolutely doing well. So well that I finally took the plunge and will be getting these to host in the nem tomorrow morning. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Thanks. No recent pics ill try to get some one the clowns settle in. Yes I'll be receiving all 4 clowns in the morning. Can't wait to see them swimming in and out of the tentacles.

I just saw this nem posted on aquasd and could not resist. Here it is...

I know the mouth is slightly open but could not resist the chance with those beautiful colors. Any tips on how to prepare for this beautiful specimen welcomed. My first go at a Mag and want to make it a successful one. Thanks

i once saw one of those in a store

Thx for the compliments. The clowns are premium picassos purchased from a breeder in south carolina. Very decent prices.

sad to report however that fish came in doa due to such cold weather in transit. Will be receiving replacement clowns on tuesday. Pics to come when settled
