Nice!

P.S. Nikon 70-300VR!!! Reasonably priced solid quality telezoom that does BIF quite well.

Good job Malkinstein! Beautiful pics of beautiful birds.

I like the composition of the last one in particular.

On the lighter side, with all the (appropriate) empty space, there's an opportunity for some comedic Photoshopping.

Thanks, really didn't think about that!!!!

Here's another I took out of the set that I liked. I'm finding out so far, I'm the only one in the area that has pics of them.

Nice eagles. They are my favorite birds to photograph. Unfortunately, they don't stick around too long. I envy the blue skies you had for those pics. I have to deal with mainly gray, wintry skies when they are in the area. Seeing your shots really makes me wish for winter time. Here is one from this past winter:

With these guys, you always want longer glass!

RichK, You're not going to get any sympathy for your shooting conditions if you post shots like that. Beautiful!

Rich, that is beautiful. You're not that far away from me. I live near Pittsburgh. They've just started to come back here.

Not too far at all. I remember when I first took the trip to photograph the eagles. I was surpirsed when I learned they were less than an hour away! WHen I arrived the first time, I just stood there and watched them for a while before I got my gear out. Since, then, I have quite the selection of shots. I used to hate winter...no more :)

Come up to this area, I know of a nest that they are in every year. I can hop into the boat at my cabin and head that way and it's guaranteed to see at least one on the way to the nest. We were standing on the docks watching them circle and hunt and I just wished I had my camera.
