Been out a while, diving back in

Hey guys, it's been almost 10 years. On the wife's suggestion we picked up a 75 tall tank last night. At this point it'll be fowlr, but the wife's already talking coral, so we will see. I don't have pics of the equipment yet. The tank is an older fluval with an aluminum frame, bottom drilled and has a canister filter. Thinking about back drilling it and plugging the bottom bulkheads. Gonna order a Ehiem compact 5000 for a return, and a build a sump out of a 20 long. Any suggestions for protein skimmer? Is anyone still running the algae filter?

It looks like glassholes is out for bits and bulkheads.... who's the go to these days? I know I still have my bit....

Welcome back. Check with Tenecor aquariums for bulkheads and other small plumbing parts. Last I knew that had some on supply.

I’ve only had experience with a reef Octopus skimmers and while I don’t run one, many people run algae scrubbers

I have a drilled bottom as well, the overflows run straight up to “1” from the tank top and are in a “weir” box.
