Before i mess us again!

ok ima try be stronger its just another hick up... i should be used to it by now.
about the light?
1. my tank is only 30" long by 18" high, how would that gonna fit when that one is 36"?
2. would 84watt be enough? I mean its way better than what i have but will i have to buy another one down the road?

Quality is much more important than quantity. I would use only t5s, mhs, or leds (and only quality components for each). 30" length could be a problem. Do you have a canopy. If you dont you might have to hange a 24" fixture.

Its only a part of the learning process!

 I started out with a 20 gallon long wih a 4 foot standard flourescent shop light , then I upgaded to a 75 gallon and added two more shop lights , about 10$ each at walmart.I raised an anenome and LPS and some softies. I think each 4 foot bulb was 40 watts x 6= 240 total watts , not bad for the price. I only had regular plant or aqurium bulbs but it worked for me. It all takes time and reefing is an on going learning exoirience.

Lord, you need to decide exactly what your plans are for your tank. Sit down tonight and write out everything that you will want in your tank. Then come here and ask us to help build your tank. If Jacob's lights will be enough for your end goal, we will let you know. Usually, if you have the lighting to house nem's then you should be able to house sps corals. I am old school so it is difficult for me to advise you on the new lighting systems available today. What I did and have done is research, and then I researched some more. I have a list of what I want in my tank, of where I am going and what I need. I have most of that done but not everything as it is a work in progress. I knew from the beginning that I would strong lighting system as I wanted anemone's and sps corals. So my lighting right off the bat was MH. I have experience in the hobby from years ago. I didn't know that LED lights were better and easier with less water evap. But I made my decision and I know from experience it will work. But you really need to write it down and talk to these guys. They aren't the ones getting money for your mistakes or bad advise from your LFS. Include all fishes you would like to keep because with a tank that size it can go south with an over burden of fish. This is a great hobby and has beautiful rewards of keeping and growing saltwater creatures. And when your tank is matured it gets even better. So don't give up, make a plan and then stick to it. Ask advise, and read read read!

I know kat im bad i get distracted really easy but i decided to go simple, 2 clowns 1 anemone and the cleaners, I went today and returned the Tang and went to look at the anemone they had there last week and its all shiveled up it looked really bad and they wanted 80 for it they are crazy. Later down the road ill get a big tank and by then the programing from freshwater will be out of my system hehe and i will be more experienced.
I PM jacobzking If something is oddwith the setup, ill just make it work.
