Currently i have a fox coral. I want to add one or maybe two lps corals placed towardsthe top of my twenty high what is another easy to care for lps i can place toward the top. I was thinking of a frogspawn coral. What would you recommend
I have a two bulb fixture t5 ho fixture, one 12000k 24 watt daylight and a 24 watt 420 actinic upgrading to a sump/fuge and will have a 300 gph blowing on the rock and about 150 gph blowing more towards the surface i am new to coral keeping coral so any advice would be helpful

Frogspawn has been the easiest LPS in my experience to care for. I can place mine pretty much anywhere expect areas of high flow.

A frogspawn (or any of the euphyllia genus i.e. torch, hammer) are usually quite easy to care for, especially if they are branching and not wall (branching means the heads split, walls grow a weaving, interconnected skeleton). It will also look huge as it grows in your tank because it is only a 20g. Zoas and palys are softies that tend to add a lot of color to a tank, and can handle a varying amount of light. Other LPS corals that can work on the top of your tank, even with the flow you have, would be chalice corals (i.e. Echinophyllia, and many many other genus that people consider chalices). They can provide stunning color and can handle lower or mid range flow as well as many different types of lighting.

+1 to lobo I bought one a couple weeks ago and love it! Eats readily, extends tentacles and is very plump and bright and notice a huge difference since the day I bought it.

Both the Candycanes and Duncans are excellent suggestions. For Lps's they do multiply fairly quickly. The Green candycanes were my first LPS and My most prolific . I have colonys all over my tank and have sold/traded several also.

Candy Cane coral is also very easy, as are Duncans, Acans, and favias.

Acan and favia don't do well in my tank, and i have from mushroom to monti in my tank and everything except those 2 are doing great.

But i'll list some of the corals i have, my tank is about a year old, and hammers, frogspawns, duncan, fungia, galaxea, lobo and button coral all do really nice in my tank.

Duncan grows like weed i have in front of a powerhead and it doesn seen to bother the coral he just keep growing i purchase it about 6 month ago with 5 heads and now have about 11, and i saw 3 more starting to grow.

I'd get a frogspawn, but I'm a bit partial to Euphillia. I just love it, and a frogspawn was my first LPS. I also got an ugly lobo as my second coral, lol. If you have a leather or some softies, they are a great way to see if you have any chemistry issues. When they start closing up, something is wrong. Only thing to really change for an LPS is to keep an eye an calcium. I'd say your good to go! I don't think there is anything funner than shopping for coral either, except maybe getting it acclimated and taking pictures. Post a pic when you get something!
