Beginning of another 120 post.

The sump tank has been ordered. Its a 30x16x19. Had to be ordered to fit with the rest of the equipment. I am going to order a octopus skimmer DNW-200. I think the 250 is way over kill.

The closed loop has been assembled, leak checked and leaks repaired. I will post pics of them soon.

Here are the pics of the closed loop that i have now. Today i am going to order the Octopus DNW-200.

The inputs from under the sand.

And the closed loop plumbing under the tank.

The sump will sit in front of that and the skimmer will be plumbed to the drain on the right of the sump and closed loop pump. I have a 10x10 area saved for a calcium reactor in the future to the left of the CL pump.

Hope you're going to block off that window. Otherwise you're going to get a lot of algae growth in those clear tubes.

impressive set up--but I agree--algae will grow in those clear tubes and because they are all on the return side, be introduced into the main tank.

what's under the floor over the tank. You may want to consider running everthing to the basement. My sump ect was like yours when I first started. It was not much effort to plump and wire to the basement:
there is 7 feet of head pressure so I went with the mag3600. This gives a net flow rate of about 2200 gph(still on the margin of good)

on the other hand very easy to run the airline from the skimmer to the outdoors. Great for reducing and co2 and related pH problems.:smokin:

We are planning on putting up thermal courtons (spelling) over the windows before the system is actually started up. I was not plannning on putting anything over those clear lines but if i ever start to develope a problem i will throw some foam insulattion over them.

I live in a manufactured home so i dont have a basement. I did place the tank opposite to the floor supports and its over a steel beem.

Thanks for the compliments. Wont get too much done this saturday. Going tail gatting at the Michigan Ohio State game.
