Hi everyone....

I thought since I am new to the club I would post a few pics now and then of my system. I just added a new refusium/critter farm to my tank and since I was back there taking pics of it I decided to take some of the room as a whole. Its nothing overly fancy but I like it.

Hope you enjoy.....I'll add some tank pics in a few days...

Are you kidding?! Nothing overly fancy?! I think you have just about every gadget they sell for SW ;) Looks good though, all you need is some chaeto and a light for your 'fuge :)

sorry for a quick highjack einstiens...but anybody have any suggestions on a good cheap fuge light????

Once again sorry about the highjack, and holy cow does your fishroom look so clean and neat. I only hope to have something that looks that clean and organized when it comes to my tank,
great pics!

I just have a clip-on light fixture from Walmart with a flourescent bulb, the full daylight spectrum one, I think it's 40 watts, and my chaeto grows great :)

Thanks everyone....

Xroads; My refugium is completely above the hight of the main tank. In the pic you can see it is fed off of a pipe coming straight up. That is actually my closed loop system which is plumbed in 3/4" pvc. I tapped into that source for the feed to the refuge and reduced the line from the CL to the refuge from 3/4" to 1/2".
The return is just two 1" bulkheads one offset slightly higher incase the lower were to plug up. They feed into a 1" clear vinyl tube that empties into the main tank. You can see that return vinyl tube in the pics.

Kerr; My tank is just 10 months old now and I didnt add corals for the first 4 months. I have started to collect some nice frags but I don't have very many realy large colonies yet.....I plan to post some pics of the tank very soon for all of you.

Stay tuned....

Nice trigger I almost bought one of those vs. the MRC.

Can wait for the day that I will actully have a fishroom.

einsteins, I am going to have to come by and see your setup sometime- I am just south of the river.

you are brave putting the refugium on that shelf.. I am assuming it is on industrial grade unbreakable brackets.... :)

Very nice setup.

Matt

I would love for you to come by and talk reefs sometime.....
YES it is on industrial metal brackets with dual channel lock-ins
and its all pretty heavy grade metal.

Looking at your sig it looks like you also have a nice set-up.

Spent a few years building the system bit by bit :) I am cooking out half of my rocks from a hair algae deal... it won't look "good" untill that is finished... and then all my coral grows in

but this is your thread

what livestock do you have, [or a link the that thread]
