bekett vs. needle wheel

besides the fact they use a big pump and energy are bekett skimmers better than needle wheel, pinwheel pump type skimmers? I was looking at getting the SRO2000e skimmer but I have a pump that is big enough to run my return, a MRC MR2 skimmer, and all my other filters all at once and was wondering if it would be a good option.

I personally use a beckett whenever heat isn't an issue. They do require pressure rated pumps so don't go using a snapper/dart on one.
