Benefit auction/sale for Eric at this month's meeting

LIRA has a history of supporting its members in time of need, and it's that time. Eric Jenkins's infant son is having serious surgery, and Eric is selling off his tank to offset medical costs.

At every meeting, we have an auction of livestock to support the club. fortunately for us, Joe Yaiullo, curator of Atlantis Marine World and creator of their awesome 20K gallon reef, is really a klutz during tank maintenance, and manages to break at least 10 coral each month :) which he then brings for auction. At every meeting people have the opportunity to bid on beautiful SPS and other corals--at great prices and from a known, reputable source.

This month our normal auction's proceeds will go to Eric's family, so we'd like to encourage everyone to bring frags, equipment, etc for the auction. More importantly, bring money to bid on all the great stuff!

We already have pledges of corals from some members, and I will start the ball by bringing three copies of Anthony Calfo's newly released Book of Coral Propagation for sale. The cost will be the usual retail $60, with all proceeds to Eric:

So please come down, bring some frags and some cash, support a fellow reefer, and go home with some great corals. Everyone wins!

where do we sign up to donate frags.
I will have a piece or 2 i can donate to help out just need to know where to add my name

Great idea Christine!
Keith you just show up with whatever you have is the way i read it.

Yes, bring what you have. If you'd like you can post here what you are planning to bring--I'll have some Xenia, some pulsing Sinularia, and maybe some Litophyton.

Might not make the meeting tonight :( If I do I'll bring a box of frags, along with two teenage girls :eek2:

Unfortunately, I have not been able to attend a meeting in over a year (possibly longer  ) but I will try my absolute best to stop by and drop off some items for this cause.
