Bengaiis at it again

well well well,

so after so much excitement and a few days after their first mating that I was aware of.....the eggs were gone!? dropped, eaten, stolen? who knows... perhaps the pair need some time to get things right*

in any case they are at it again!

so I snapped some picts with the hopes that this round will be a success.


the female soaring in for the spotlight (i love that they like to hang around the rose bubbles)

then someone else stole the spotlight

and then the male crashed the party. he's very skiddish now that he's got eggs and tends to lurk in the darker corners of the tank. There was a cool moment when he was readjusting the egg mass but i missed it!

Here's a challenge: Try to get a shot towards the end of his incubation with the fry peeking out. I got close, but I was never able to get it dead on where you could see their faces in his mouth.
