DISASTER!!!!!!!!
I FORGOT TO ADD A SNAIL GUARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is about 1 AM here, and as I'm laying in my bed, I hear the auto top off turn on. Nothing weird. But it doesn't kick off, and I soon here water dripping. CRAP!! A turbo snail was stuck on the float switch, which caused my RO water to continuously stream into my tank. The salinity went from 1.026 to 1.022 in about 15 seconds, so I quickly transfered all my snails into my main 75 gallon tank. I sure hope the shock isn't enough to kill them.
My digital camera and portable DVD player just HAPPENED to be sitting right next to the tank, and they are drenched. Both were immediatley dryed off and they are sitting opened infront of a fan right now. Cross your fingers, please. Also, all my other WWII patches are soaked in water. I had about 30 other priceless, authentic patches sitting near the tank which are drying as well. My canopy and base might be warped soon. I have 3 fans in my room right now.
On the other hand, all the water spilled to the front of the canopy, and if I had to choose, I'd like it to go there because all the electric stuff is towards the back. In the big picture, I'm lucky to even have a fish tank in my room. I sure hope all my stuff turns out okay though.
I need to build a snail guard ASAP, any suggestions, or should I just make one out of plexiglass DIY'ing?
Remember, things could always be worse! I'm very lucky I caught it when I did, or my house could EASILY be burning right now.
