Berghia Nudis Chomping on Aiptasia!! :D

So i just got into bergha nudis, the natural predator of aiptasia, and i thought id share some pics!! Its an awesome feeling to see these babies munching on the aiptasia!!! Muahaha! (sorry for the crappy pics! def not a camera for tanks)

yea thats the overall idea. hopefully i'll be successful and i can be the source to local ppl who are having aiptasia problems.

they starve and will ultimately die. They are like sea hares and usually eat one type of food.

And that's the beauty of them, no eating coral when they're done with the aptasia

yes they will ultimately die off when they are done with the infestation of aiptasia in ones tank. that is why i have a little aiptasia farm so i can have a constant food source for the offspring. the other good thing is that since they are so small they wont mess up the water parameters when they start to die off.

Very cool, I knock on wood I have never had an aptasia yet in 18 months, just a couple different kind of "pest" anemone that is tiny, actually very colorful, and doesn't multiply that quick - I forget their name though...

Ive kept peppermints ever since and I now have on average 2 or 3 aiptasia in my tank. I had to lose the hawk fish though cause he was eating the peps before I could replace them. I went through like 20 before I figured out what was happening. Here is an after peps shot of pretty much the same area.

rich, the nudis are doing good. they've laid and the spawn are growing. ill let you know if i succeed in getting them to the right size so you can take advantage. ive already put like 3 rocks full of aiptasia and you can see the difference in about a week.

Hey buddy, instead of crying and playing the blame game, why dont you find something productive to do instead of looking for posts that will justify yours.
