I had a pretty bad aiptasia problem in my tank. Basically I've had lots of problems in my current tank. I was Just admiring how far it's come on Daturday and the return pump died for good right in front of my eyes. Not a great evening. But I digress....

I've used peppermints with success in the past. But they were the Caribbean ones. Thanks to Irma, a lot of suppliers are MIA. I thought About a filefish but didn't pursue it with any confidence. Went back and forth with Bob at ABC and he was adamant about Berghia nudibranchs.

I put 6 in. Never saw them again. Wrote it off as yet another "œGOTCHA" to the Reef Hods (who ALWAYS win). Literally a month later I thought I could See a reduction. I had Some big mofos in there and the looked annoyed. Withdrawn. Wilted. After 2 months zero aiptasias. The final push was over night. I seear There were 20 nems one day. Zero the next. Success. Cully stamp of approval.

Crazy spell correct or incorrect and RC Edit not working. I give Up. You get the idea. See you all on another platform.

Cool , any special protocols followed ? I've heard the Andrew Cuomo method works best. I tried way back when with my nano . It worked great for a few months . I went w carribean peppers after i wiped them all out . Peppermint kept new aiptasia from reestablishing . I'm kinda bummed. Shopping for tonga branch rock going nowhere fast . I might have to go fake rock / dry rock medley. I love all the good hitchhikers. Can live without the sea monster worms and bugs.

Good to hear.

Just out of curiosity (no judgement)... do the nudis then starve/die off when the aiptasias are gone?

On a related note... Bob has never steered me wrong. Good dude, one of the few I'd trust.

EXACTLY my story. Never seen them and thought It was a bust till one day EVERYONE was gone and 1 year later, I still have no aiptasia.

Couldn’t say Jackson. You never see them so I dont Know if they survive or die off. My guess is they do die off.
