Best anemone for Picasso pair

I am setting up a 40 breeder for just a pair of Picasso clowns. I was just wondering what the best anemone match is. I am running 6x39 t5's with individual reflectors so lighting is not an issue. It also has around a 3 inch sand bed. All recommendations are appreciated. Thanks matt.

Well, honestly I'd hold off on the anemone until after the system is mature. The natural hosts for these fish are magnifica, gigantea, and crispa. Unfortunately they are some of the most difficult anemones to keep in captivity.

Sorry I should have mentioned it before but this tank was setup with sand and live rock out of my display tank and has been running 4 months.

Some people on the forum have had percula clownfish lose their black coloring when kept in BTA's and LTA's. It's a hit or miss though.

I would still let your tank run for 2-4 months before you add an anemone. 4 months still seems a little mature.
I have seen BTA's have an affect on a friends Picassos. Once he got rid of the BTA, the black started to come back. I would personally go with an LTA, or something like a purple malu. A anemone that isnt famous for roaming around the tank.

r u sure its the anemone that cause them to change color, cause i had a pair host in hair algae that was growing on a powerhead for years and they didnt change color
