What is the easiest and most colorful Anemone for my pair of Ocellaris clowns to host? Thought I would give them a one year birthday present, Thanks for any imput! 150g , Halides 400W

Well their natural hosts gigantea, ritteri, mertens, are anything but easy to care for. If you want an easy surrogate host than look into getting a bubble anemone. They come in many color morphs including green, rose, and brown.

So a Rose Bubble tip would be a good starter, Can someone give me a couple of good online places to buy one, Thanks

If you can check your LFS. You will have better luck with picking up one locally then buying blind over the internet. Anemones tend not to ship well.

If you do go with a BTA (( which is the only anemone I would recommend as a first one )), try looking at some of the reef clubs local to you -- the odds are good that someone will have a clone for sale.

I would check local clubs, may find someone selling one, it would save you money.

Isn't that basically what I just said? ;) ;) ;) ;) :p

That actually happens to me a lot too.

But, you had to know that I was going to tease you about it. :)

It's well deserved

There is no guarantee that your clowns will be hosted by the anemone. They may take a second, a month, a year, or they may never go into the bubble tip. Most of the time ocellaris clowns will go into a BTA, it just may take awhile.
