i have the tunze osmo ato. I like it so far. been running it about 5 weeks. I used to have the jbj ato. It worked well for me for a couple years. If you dont mind spending the extra cash id go with the tunze. It seems like a superior product.

tune osmolator ATO hands down. it uses an eye to control the water level and a back up float switch that shuts the pump off if the eye fails and it starts to over fill. its a great product and been running mine for a few months now. only issue i had with it was the eye at first. you need to wash the eye in hat soapy water for a good 5 to 10 mins and then clean it off as best as possible. after all that it works great.

I have owned for three years. It comes with a safety overfill float switch.

I owned a Tunze Osmolator as well and had problems with the pump. I am not saying it isn't worth the extra money, it does come with everything you need and its TUNZE. They have great products and customer service.

The other brand I used(listed above) you had to supply tubing and feed pump.

Tunze Osomolator very very nice with built in safeties, also really like the pump small enough to fit in a refill jug lid opening!

This is what I used for years and it worked great.

You might want to check out the Avast Marine ATO. It doesn't use a float switch as it's main trigger but has one for backup.

I've used a tunze osmolator for years. Probably one of the best reef equipment you can buy. Works flawlessly til the day I took it offline.
I just recently upgraded my controller to Profilux and currently running it with doser unit for ATO now.

+1 on the Tunze. My only complaint would be the longevity of the pumps, but admittedly I occasionally run my reservoir dry so that it likely not good for them.

I use the JBJ ATO with an aqualifter pump.... Done me good so far.

tunze osmolater i just got mine today i have a bud that has one he replaced the pump 1 time in 2 years the pumps are cheap around $25...

Tunze is the best IMO if you can afford it, otherwise the best bang for the buck is autotopoff.com. I use a dual float switch with an aqualifter, works flawlessly.

I have had 3 . I liked them all . Order of preference was
RKL with sli and float switch / hydo pico . I went rlk for the features and heater redundancy / back up .

Reef Fanatic Top off and hydor pico
All three worked with no issues .

I've used a few different top off models and so far Spectrapure's Ultra Precise ATO has been the best one I've used to date. I've mentioned it a few times in other threads, to sum it up, the pressure switch works like a charm and the back up float valve works great (I test it every so often) and is better quality than some others out there. Biggest thing is when it comes to suction cups like many atos, I make acrylic brackets to mount floats and sensors to bc suction cups will eventually fail. The pump is dead silent and has a long pull and push. Cannot honestly say enough good things about it.
