I am looking for something that can dispense freeze dried cyclop eeze a couple times a day to feed my Anthias.

anyone have any advice ?

Just out of curiosity - how do you prevent the food from going into the overflow? I want to do an automatic feeder as well, but I am afraid that most of the food will go into the overflow. :(

I use slow-sinking food to avoid the problem with the overflow. I am told that if you use floating food, feeding rings are useful: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=6280&N=2004+112972

the feeding rings work well and if you are using a high flow power head you can have it dump in a particularly turbulent part of the tank .

I sprinkle the freeze dried cyclop eeze right over the top of the powerhead and there is so much turbulence than it immediately gets mixed up and submerged . For this reason i actually like the freeze dried better than the frozen cyclop eeze. It seems to stay in the water column longer and i can keep it under the tank rather than go to the freezer.

The Eheim one is the best

can you control how much it adds at a time ?

because the feeder is so unsightly, its placed over my sump and drops right into the pump return section of my sump, so food is suspended with return water for my fishies delight!
