Best Book?

It's all in the title, what is the best book to own on fish diseases?
For me, pictures are a good thing, but I will let the experts be my guide.

The Manual of Fish Health by Andrews, Exell and Carrington is a good start. It won't make you a disease expert, but having some education on fish disease is highly recommended.

I am a big fan of Noga's "Fish Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment" but it is not cheap and covers freshwater as well as marines. That might be a plus to some.

Thanks! I'm not looking at being an expert but I definitely want something that will help me help the fish when needed!

I can't say money isn't an issue but when you look at how much you put into the tank $100 for a book isn't that bad (I've looked at the book by Noga on Amazon.com). Now to check on The Manual of Fish Health.

If you ever consult a vet, they will most likely have this as their reference.

Noga's book is great, but it may be a bit over the head of most hobbyists (college text for a course on aquatic medicine). That is why I suggested the other book.

I will probably get both. College text, I'm very familiar with, it can't be much worse than a 1000pg pharmaceutics book!

I appreciate the keep it simple approach too. You don't always have to go into all the details to get the solutions you seek!

"Fish Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment" is one we use a lot at our Fish Health Lab (arguably the best in the nation). I wouldn't get any other, and its got a fair amount of pics too!
