Best bulb for coral color?

Horace thats great and all and I have seen many zeo tanks myself but the problems start when you post like this it sounds like an infomercial.
Just post the facts and don't force zeo on people. If it works(and IMO it does work when used right) they will come around.

How exactly does it sound like an infomercial? I dont claim to be an expert on it at all and as I noted, I dont even use it. I know little about it so I cant tell you more really. All that I know is what I have read in the FAQ and what I have heard talking to people who use it. I have also read alot of the posts on here that bash it and the person who developed it. For example the hella long thread trying to disprove that ZeoBak actually contains bacteria. It turned out the stuff IS what it says it is and all of the skeptics were just trying to find anyway they could to shoot it down. Most of whom know little to nothign about how it all really works. The simple fact is people dont like to be told to do things differently. That is just the way we are. Im not telling anyone that they have to do Zeo to be successful, but I am saying I have seen plenty of Zeo tanks that are super successful so that indicates that it certainly does work if done right. I just want to get the point across to all of those who are bashing it, that they need to learn more about it, and perhaps go visit a tank that uses it before blindly dismissing something as garbage. Im sure alot of folks did the same to T5 when it first arrived as well. Look at what it is becoming today....

The guy simply asked how to get more colors in his corals. Zeo claims to do exactly that. If he chooses to look into it then so be it. If not, no skin off my back. I certainly dont make any profit off of it.

I'd try feeding more before you change ANYTHING else.

Also, possibly add more Actinics.

Do changes one at a time and wait 3-4 weeks between changing other things. If you change a bunch at once you'll never really know which change made a difference. ;)

I agree, changes should be made slowly and one at a time. However, what exactly do you suggest he feed more? I cant imagine feeding your tank fish food is going to do the trick. Wont that just increase your nutrients in the water column, and we all know that doesnt help anything?

Sup Matt,
You have a great tank,
Wait a little bit longer in order to see some changers , you just repalced the MH bulbs.
I would wait at least 3 months in order to see some changes.
By the way what type of lighting do you used to use before?

Hey Roger,
Thanks again for the frag swap...
Please save me a piece of the tubs BN.
I used 20k EVC tech's before the new ones I just put in a week ago, the new ones are also 20k EVC techs ( they were around 5-6 months old).
Iwas told by Jeremy at Premium Aquatics that in his opinion the 20K radiums on an HQI ballast produced the most color of any bulb he has seen.
I currently hav 3 55 watt T-5s 2" from the surface with ATI super blue actinic bulbs. ( similar to tank of the month from El Salvador a couple months ago)
I am very close to ordering the Zeovit system & trying it out.
I've read the manual on the website & it will take some effort to run it, but I hope the results will be worth it.
I am also starting to feed cyclopeeze & DT's oyster eggs every other day. Prevoiusly I would only feed once every 7-10 days.
Thanks for all the help guys, Matt
