best clown for a green carpet.

What is the best clown species for my green carpet anenome? It is the species that has the solid color base that gets very large. Currently it is about 8 inches in diameter. My ocellaris pair will not go near it. It is very sticky (possibly aggressive ?) and the clowns one time got too close and they acted like it stung them. I have seen no hosting for 6 months. Thanks.

Both species of carpet get very large. We will need a picture to answer your question fully but your occelaris their natural hosts are gigantea carpets

Gigantea

Gigantea

It is a gigantea carpet. I wonder why a 14 year old ocellaris and her young male will not try to get the anenome to host them?

I don't think you have a gigantea. It's probably a haddoni. Mature ocellaris won't go into it, and it has a "solid color base". Gigantea has spots on the underside of the oral disk, and a mature pair of ocellaris would be in a gigantea llllllooooonnnnnggggg before any 6 months. There is virtually no acclimation period between ocellaris and gigantea. Your clowns may, or may not, move into the haddoni.
Like Nikon187 said, it would be nice if we could get a pic just to make sure.

The anemone is a Haddoni. What species of clowns will go to a Haddoni and be hosted by it? As I said earlier, it is a very sticky and aggressive anemone.
