What does everyone use? I've never had a big enough tank to use anything other than 5 buckets. What should I use?

Can you just make a full bucket worth of saltwater and let it sit there covered until you use it all? Does it ever go bad?

I use a 55g barrell that was originally used for storing vinegar. You can find them online as water barrels or rain barrels. Make sure to get food grade.

I make 55g at a time and use as needed. It will not go bad if aerated

I'm going to be using the same thing as RogerGolf - the 90 gallon barrels from Glenn Industries.

I will be differnt. I didn't like the brute trash cans or the pickle barrels in the link above. I went with polypropylene barrels they come in all shapes and sizes and completely seal so no worries of contamination getting into the water if you don't use it all right away. The brutes are not cheep, the polypropylene tanks are a bit more money then that. The pickle barrels are very cheep. If that's what u r looking for.

I will try and find a pic

Those aren't pickle barrels. They're food grade barrels that held syrup for the guys horses. They're also nice and won't cost a couple hundred dollars for a couple. Been using mine for about two years and they're great! He just doesn't always have them listed.

Old water softener : I have one to Store RODI, and the another to Mix (This is the mixing tank)

Bonus is, 1: They are Free, 2: Your recycling, 3: They are small and compact, and don't look like trash cans.

This is the Mixing station

This is the RODI Storage Tank:

Ok u r correct chad they r not pickle barrels but I had 2 of those in the link I didn't like them personally but lots of people do because of the cost. They title does say the best containers. For me personally hands down I love my new Rodi setup and strange containers over everything else I have used, and after 8 years in the hobby I have used most everything commonly used for Rodi storage.

Yours probably are the best, I'll give you that haha. Personally, I would rather spend the extra money on an RODI system, corals, or something else, mainly because these barrels have worked without a flaw for so long for so many people.
