BEST dosing pumps/system?

55g! Perfect for dosing! Some of the profilux dosers have to be controlled by the Profilux controller system. the one I have is a stand alone with a built in controller.

Do these dosing pumps prevent anti siphon? I don't have any room in my cabinet so will need the containers with the Mag / Alk / Calc located above tank level..

Obviously don't want the contents of all jars siphoning straight into my sump in one hit :eek2:

Do you have space for these space saver jugs? http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/space-saver-jug-thin-4-liter-1-05-gallon.html I'm just installed the BRS dosers and the containers are higher than the sump. No back siphon yet.

Dosing pumps are one of those things you do NOT want to cheap out on.
It can kill your tank overnight if it malfunctions.
Do you want to save one or two hundred now and lose THOUSANDS of dollars and years of hard work later?
The brs pumps are fine if you have a really good controller running them.
If not, get the GHL Doser 2 or a used older GHL Doser. With either you are looking for the standalone version that has it's own controller built in. The ultimate in reliability/stability/build quality, which is what you want in a doser.

I have used a lot of peristaltic pumps over the years. Absent the need for continuous duty, my current GHL Doser 2 is hands down the best. So good, I'm buying a four head slave unit too.

Check out the Pacific Sun Kore 5th doser.

5 heads, ATO, AWC add on, magnetic stirrer add on and other stuff being planned.

Accurate, will dose down to 0.01ml.

Just hooked 2 of these to my Apex and based on advice given here on RC. I used them on ports 4 and 8. (I think these are the mechanical relay ports.)

I have Apex and I run the DOS. Ive double checked the calibration on it a few times by changing the dosing amount several times since Ive gotten it and having it dose water out of my freshwater reservoir into a beaker. It puts out exactly what its supposed to
