hope im not jinxing myself here went back to the simple method of raising fry lots of swimmers this morning

it is a LOT OF WORK IVE SUCCESSFULLY RAISED AROUND 20 SO FAR BUT FROM 5 OR 6 DIFF HATCHES ID LIKE TO GET 50 AT A TIME.

Like I said in the pm, grab Wilkerson's book "Clownfishes". IMO, its indespensible. I got 30 or so from my first batch...you'll get better and get more than that each time

are they white or orange. i never see eggs in the anthelia patch but i had a bunch of white things that looked like that the other night. i was watching the fish and corals catch and eat them. oops?

there more blackish silver when there born the eggs start out oarnge then turn silver right before they hatch you would see the eggs if your clowns were laying themn the male fans them all day long and there in the tank for 8 dyas. but thta anthelia patch is pretty dense so you might not notice.

8 very healthy im kinda upset i won the hydrometer fry are so frickin stupid. Once again i get away from the KISS philosophy and it backfired. Ok heres what happened its an in tank hydrometer so figured i would put it in the fry tank so i could constantly measure salinity. So i stick it up against the glass in the corner and think great now i can keep one more variable constant. Well guess what 3/4 of the fry swam in between the glass and the hydrometer and got stuck and died, arrrrrrrrrggggggggg. But there are 8 fatties left which i do believe will all make it zak gets the 2 nicest and if everyone that posted in this thread still wants em in a month or so there allready presold. The next hatch promises to be better, im slowly figuring this breeding thing out and i think im getting better at it.

That sucks, you think you are taking a step forward and actually end up falling back. At least you still have eight to watch grow. You should have another batch in a week or so right, dont they produce eggs every 12 days?

its more like every 20 about 12 days in between hatch and spawn. I know everything i try to complicate things or to make it easier for myself it sets me back. KISS.
