Best Kit for 90 Gallon AGA LPS Dominated Tank

What kit would be best for this tank. I would like something that gives me the option to turn the flow down at night for feeding etc. I don't know if there is really something that is cost effective in this line but I would like a system that gives me the most flexibility while keeping the powerheads inside the tank to a minimum. Would the photo cell work with the best choice so the flow can be controlled automatically at night?

Would a Vortech be a better way to go?

What would you Tunze experts suggest?

I would think a 6000 and a single controller with a photo cell would be ideal for a lps 90 gal.

I'm thinking of waiting for the controllable nano streams and a 7095. I'd like more of a push/pull action with a nano stream on either side. Not sure how that would work, though. I think they are supposed to be coming out in December. Would you get a good push/pull with a 6000?

What type of LPS? The recommendation I would make for favoid types would be very different from what I would recommend for Euphyllias.

Hi Roger. Currently I have about 3 separate heads of frogspawn in the tank. I have 2 plate corals on the bottom. One rock with some mushrooms and I have a hydrophoa (sp) in the tank as well. I am going to be leaning more toward the harder of the lps species. I am new so trying to keep the easier of the lps. You can see the items in my gallery or go to this link to see the tank.

The flowerpot coral died. That was a big mistake, but I learned the lesson.

Right now I have 2 Seio 1100's and 2 MJ 1200.The sieo 1100 are a pain because they won't restart. Whatever I get needs to restart when turned off.

Frogspawns will not do well in the flow of a Stream 6000. I would say to either wait for the nanoStreams or get a 7400/2.

Thanks Roger. In the future I most likely will want to go with other harder corals. (you know how it is) Would 2 of these powerheads with the 7095 controller give adequate flow for the harder corals or would I then need to upgrade again?

My intention is to buy the most pump I can once rather than buy several times. You know the routine, don't buy enough light and you buy it again when you want to get the harder type corals.
This is what I am looking for. If what you suggest works that's great. or am I asking too much?

What are the nanostreams?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just learning the Tunze product line.

A 7400/2 can be converted to a 6100 Stream but it costs about $100 to do this and unless it was bare bottom SPS or a bigger tank the 6100's will be too much. I really don't think i can suggest something that will be great for frogspawns and SPS, these two corals have very different flow demands and the tank isn't really big enough to provide different zones of flow. The 6055 nanostream may come close but they aren't out until December and besides seeing them work in empty tanks I cannot really say from experience what sort of results you would have.
