Best Nem for Ocellaris clowns

What anemones are the most natural/best host for Ocellaris clowns? I recently picked up a 150W Metal Halide fixture. I've been waiting to get nems for 2.5 yrs now until i could afford some better lighting!

This is for the 25g that's been up and running for about 2.5 yrs. It has a CSS protein skimmer, power filter for carbon and flow, 1 koralia nano, 1 maxijet power head w/ hydor flo rotating deflector, and a 2 little fishies phosban reactor with another small powerhead. Right now it has pc lighting but i'm upgrading it to a 150w halide. It is a deep tank with about 35 lbs live rock, so there are many areas with varying levels of both lighting and flow. I do 15% water changes every other week. Tank inhabitants are 2 ocellaris clowns, one sixline wrasse, and one algea blenny. I also have a decent cleanup crew and a cleaner shrimp.

I was actually wondering the same thing, and I found they like carpet anemones, sometimes may be able to "adapt" to bubble tip anemones, and ritteri anemones

Hello,
Tough one because the nems that host it in nature are probably to big for your tank and very fussy about water quality.
I would check with the local reef club and see if anyone has a BTA clone they would be willing to part with.

The owner of a LFS out here has a breeding pair of Ocellaris, he had a BTA that hosted them. He sold the BTA and I have seen LTA in his display tank hosting them now. His Ocellaris at home are hosted by a carpet. For your size aquarium I would think a BTA, but a LTA may be an alternative too since it is closer to a Ritteri. Who's to say you can't use a Sebae, some people have luck with Condys hosting Ocellaris.

the anemone faq at the top of this forum has a page that talks about what clowns will host what...im pretty sure they will a carpet, but my clowns are hosting a RTBA atm so....

just my experience, but the best anemone for the ocellaris i've had....is whatever coral i don't want them wiggling in all the time.

I'll probably try a BTA i guess, based on my tank size. As much as id love to do a carpet or sebea, i think it would be a little cramped.
