best place for tanks

What's the best place to order tanks from? I'm looking for a glass 48x24x24. Decided the 150 would take up too much electricity.

I bought my custom cube-type tank from Dick at theculturedreef.com after shopping around for a while. His was the best price and only $100 for shipping. Recently, I have been thinking about ordering a larger tank and found Crystal View Aqurium on eBay- seems like the best prices for acrylic.

Stay far far away from Seaside Tropical Fish, and Fujimoto aquariums, IME. They may be cheap, but replacing a tank with a crack in it sux, especially when the LFS gives you the run around and refuses to honor the warranty.

Not that I'm bitter.

I just got my quote from coral oasis. so a 48x24x24 tank is going to cost me 1150 for the tank alone. It is eurobraced and has one panel of starphire as well as a center trapezoid overflow. Does that sound about right?

Tong's in fountain valley has a massive selection of tanks, mostly glass. I've been able to negotiate on price, especially if buying other stuff.

have you tried Pacific Reef in FV? Do you want Leemar tank or what?

Yeh, I called them yesterday, turns out they were more than coral oasis. I do want to go with a leemar. I saw a leemar setup and it was just insane.

Depends on who makes it..If its a Lee Mar then its a fare price, anything else isn't going to be Starphire (Low Iron yes but not Starphire) and shouldn't cost near that much.

I was told to try glasscages.com. even tho its back east, its supposed to be quite a bit cheaper. i'm going to give them a call on monday and see.
