Best place to buy Pukani?

It seems like almost everyone buys dry Pukani at BRS. Is there a reason for this?

Several other vendors sell it also. Is it all the same?
should it matter where I buy it?

It "should" be the same anywhere for the most part..
Can you offer alternatives with proven customer service/great pricing,etc...?
"Cost" is a major factor in anyones decision making/purchasing needs..
If BRS has the best pricing then that would answer your question..
They certainly have great customer service and are a proven quality supplier of aquatic products..
Show support for the good ones..

I've bought lots of rock from BRS (pukani, tonga, etc), great price, free shipping and the rock has always been great. What's not to like? It's a proven good buy.

I actually just did the comparisons just a few months ago when I setup my new tank.

Sure there are cheaper vendors for the actual rock, but most places charge shipping. BRS doesnt over a certain amount(if your a preferred reefer its free anyways).

Besides BRS is well known for CS and supplying quality products, so it's always nice to support one of the "good guys" in the hobby.

While there are scattered complaints in the reviews section they were very good at filling my specific requests. I will use them again.

Thanks for the responses!!

I do have a general request and I want to buy from an outfit who won't just blow off my request and send whatever.

It sounds like BRS will try to assist in this regard

Yes.. BRS is a good company.. Hard to go wrong there..

I find it funny all the people who give "rave reviews" on there yet fail to notice that they checked the box for "I would NOT recommend this to a friend"

5 starts.. Absolutely Fantastic and then "Joe Blow" wouldn't recommend this to a friend

I've never bought rock from BRS but with the 15% off special right now and free shipping it's probably the best deal. I've also never bought Pukani as I usually buy the reefcleaners dry rock which is cleaned and treated so it doesn't leach phosphates.

Pukani typically leaches phosphates. Needs a good cure and I recommend dealing with phosphates while curing the rock.

Excellent rock. I have 2500lbs of live rock from various locations and the only LR in my display is Pukani.

Also depends on what Pukani you want. There are importers who can bring it in live, fresh from Fiji, within 24 hours of collection so you get the "good stuff" and "bad stuff" along with incredible rock. In comparison, the rock isn't real all that much more expensive.
