Best place to go for plumbing supplies???

For some reason I am having a heck of a time finding anyone locally who has PVC "Y's". Can anyone help?

Also, I need some guidance. I have a 125g "reef ready" aquarium - thus, I have the standard overflow x2 and return x2. I am trying to figure out the best way to hook up two Wavyseas to my return pump while keeping the current returns active as well. In effect I would have four returns when complete.

Is it best to split off the outlet close to the pump (external), or can I simply Y or T from the returns in the overflow boxes?

I have been to several Menards and Home depots and have not found Ys. Only T's.

True Y's are hard to find locally, plumbing supply house will have them....Or online, www.savko.com is one place. You can find WYE's which are different and I don't like.

I'd split the lines shortly after the pump.

Best bet would be to split the lines near the output. I did this with the Sequence Snapper I use on my 180. I created a manifold using "T"s and 2 elbows. I put ballvalves on the outputs so I could controll flow through each line as I wanted to (directing more flow through one or the others depending on their function in the tank).

I kn ow its a crazy question, but I have been trying to explain these Sesame Street characters to my son that I thought were hilarious when I was his age. Your avatar kinda looks like them.

Do you guys think it would be possible to run two returns, two Wavyseas and a skimmer off one pump? ANy disadvantage to running a skimmer in line with everything else?

You can run everything off of 1 pump if it is big enough. the disadvantage is if that 1 pump goes, everything is down. For a while I had 2 return pumps on my 220, a closed loop, seperate pump for the skimmer and fuge. I have since consolidated, to a dart return, that is Ted to the fuge and Ca Reactor, a dart CL and a mag 24 for the skimmer. That mag is about to get replaced though.

Ive found that Lowes had a better selection than anybody short of an online pulmbing retailer. The one by me has the true union ball valves and even flap style checkvalves. I also find that I have to visit all three to get everyting that I want.

Isn't Mcmaster-Carr local? I think you could order online and p/u locally, at least I thought I read that someone did that some time ago.
