What is the best place to scuba dive. Hawwai, florida, caribeen islands. Im looking to go scuba diving in december and i need to find a warm place with lots of turtles, dolphins, and fish, oh and not a lot of sharks. What is the best place to go.
Thanks for any help Puffer21

I am going to Oahu, HI next week. Never been there before so I'll let you know. Of the caribbean, Belize would be the best place to see dolphins, sharks, sea turtles, rays, etc. Also I think the night dives there were absolutely awesome. Little Cayman and Bonaire are great for small animals.

If you're up for a bit more of an adventure, South African diving is amongst some of the best. I worked for a company just South of Mozambique for a year and dived till I couldn't dive no more. (Not really, but it felt like it some days. lol)
PLENTY to see. Lots of rays, reefs, fish, turtles, dolphins and lots more...plus December is summer time there.

I never dived when I lived in Jamaica, but I have always heard it is pretty decent.

You never said how far you really wanted to travel or not.....besides, you don't have a location listed on your profile, so how would anyone know where you are travelling from... ? lol ;)

I second belize. Airfare is decent and the diving is spectacular! If you go, look into the Ambergris Caye in Belize.

Are you certified yet? Your dive trainer has probably been all over the world and can suggest good places for you.

If you're going to New Providence (Nassau or Paradise Island), hook up with Stuart Cove's operation. Free pickup from the hotel. They have snorkeling and intro dives, but it's better if you're certified. Stuart is famous for working on movies and Discovery Channel Shark Week shoots.
