Best PowerHead Option?

Hi Reef Central,
I am a little confused with what PowerHead option is the best. These are my options.
1. Mp10 & Hydor Korillia
2. 1 MP40
3. Hydor Wave Maker Kit (2 1150 Circulation Pumps)

Which is the best route to go?

I love my Hydor Korilla's. They run great, never have any problems, move water effectively and cost half as much as Jaebo if you buy through Amazon.

The MP-40 is too strong for your tank. All of the MP pumps will only run at 30% minimum, and since you would most likely have to turn it down to close to that number there would be very little fluctuation in flow available to you and the fluctuation is one of the main reasons to get an MP pump. I would go with option #1, but perhaps in the future upgrade to two MP-10's.

I also have a 60 cube and I have a mixed reef setup. I have 2 Tunze 6040's and a 6020. I like their size compared to my old Hydor pumps and I like that they are dc pumps with an optional back up power source switch which can be wired to a battery or even a small solar set up. The mp10 is nice for the footprint and ecotech has a ups system also, however it is not directionally adjustable and placement would be key to make Sps happy and not overpower Lps. They are both expensive compared to other options and lots of people here would also recommend Jebao pumps if you were on a budget. I don't think they have a power backup system.

Anything, but get atleast two powerheads into your system. I had a MP40 and two small Tunze in my 50 gal for my mixed reef. I just picked up a gyre 130 during black friday and I'm going to use this with 1 small tunze.
