Best price on Part 1 & 2

Where in town has the best price on these additives? They are either called 1 & 2 or A/B. I am out and can not remember the name.

I have a 75 tank -T5's, sump, skimmer, sock, phophate reactor and small amt of bio balls. All my tests are normal however, I have a green slime over all my sand and rock and my coral growth is slow. Water change weekly.
Any ideas?

are you using 0 TDS RODI water for your water changes? using publix water, or an old RO membrane or pre-filters could be your problem

If you dont mind mixing it yourself, order from bulkreefsupply.com. They have the same ingredients at a lot less.

I am really liking Brightwell Aquatics. I have tried many and they seem to be the most sable I have tried. Take your time and follow the true directions not the basic and you should have good results.

Oceans Blend here... I also use their magnesium, which should be #3 or C as far as the dosing goes. Magnesium is just as important as Alk and Cal.... Just a FYI....
Good luck...

I use AquaPhilic from Ocean Blue and it works great for me. I'm too lazy to mix my own. I also agree that Mag is very important and most salts are a little low in that area.

I mix my own. My tank uses a gallon every two weeks so the $$ would add up quick. I think if you test often enough to get to know your tank's usage well, any of the two parts will work fine. If I were buying premixed, I'd probably go with Oceans Blend because it's a local business and it's prices are competative with any other brands afaik. BTW how's the cap frag doing?

Its looking great! Im actually in the process of looking at getting a halide setup which Im sure will make that guy take off like crazy. Thanks again!

I mix my own. Easy and effective. However prior to mixing my own I used Oceans Blend. Russel is a local and stands by his product. If you don't want to mix your own then that is the way to go IMO.

Have you tried or thought of going the calcium reactor route in the future? Sounds like your system is demanding enough to warrant one of these.

I make all my chemicals. The price of these are really high compared to the cost of doing it on your own. I have a calcium reactor but I do occasionally give boosts when my tank requires more.

I've been thinking about it a little bit lately. I even have most of the CO2 equipment from my homebrewing and planted FW tank days! But I'm hesitant because of the PH issues that might arise. The two part is a hassle to make (I make 8 gallons of each part at once) but it's very simple in terms of dosing, very little risk to the tank, etc.
