I'm looking for recommendations for a good quiet pump for the sump of a 55 gallon SH tank. Primary concerns are quiet running, low heat transferred to tank water and preferably under $200.
I am assuming that an external pump will add less heat to the water. Is this always the case?
I've never used an external pump, will it be alot noisier run externally as opposed to being under water?
So far, based on what I can find on the subject, I am thinking of this one, run external to the sump. http://www.aquacave.com/eheim-1250-universal-br-water-pump-1610.html
Any thoughts?
Thanks for your time
