Best reef fish for corals

What is the best fish for your corals as far as the waste produced by them to feed the corals . I have noticed alot of the same fish in every successful sps tank and also in the wild when you see those corals in the wild they are housed by certain fish I attribute their well being to the food they produce by there waste which is rich in alot of the minerals corals crave . So in closing what do you think is the best coral reef safe fish that in your book is a must have if any? Anthias? Tangs?

My opinion would be tangs because of their fast metabolism. Since what they poop out is less digested, the corals would recieve more nutrients from it.

*The above is wild speculation on my part.

Any that don't make a meal of your corals. :) Really, I don't think that fish waste varies by species. It's ultimately a function of what you feed them, right?

I would think fish with a more carnivore based diet like anthias and wrasses, but since our fish in our tanks pretty much all eat the same food, not sure it matters.
