Best Reference Book?

My brother is a large reef enthusiast and I was looking for a 'reference book' or 'magazine' to get him for Christmas that ties in with his hobby. Does anyone have a suggestion? If you do, please also tell me what you like about it. Thanks!

The Reef Aquarium Volume 3 by J. Charles Delbeek and Julian Sprung.

I just got this book and it is really good reading.

All four volumes are.

Subscription to Coral Magazine is a nice gift, as are all the books mentioned above. Should also add Reef Invertebrates by Calfo & Fenner.

Every one of these suggestions is spot on, and on my shelf (or nightstand). I would also recommend Calfo's Book of Coral Propagation.

Another idea is AHABS (Aquarium Articles by Subscription) on Dr. Ron Shimek's website (www.ronshimek.com). I think its $50 for 12 issues. I bought them all, printed them out and put them in a binder with an index. Great source of information - approximately 1000 pages that comes close to a college-level course in Marine Aquariology.
