What's the best source to get variety of pods online for a decent price?

Need amphipods too.

I order all my pods from algae barn. You can order a bag of mixed, or a bag of species specific. They also sell live phytoplankton used to feed the pod population.

And as johnike eluded to, new customers with an email get a BOGO offer.

Does the phyto plankton boost pod population in my refugium?
Will pods eat it?

Issue is the term plankton incl
Pods as well...I think these are micro algae that's in this bottle.
I do know it'll feed corals and others when I dose the tank.

Wonder if I can bypass the plankton bottle and just get pods!

Dunno why algae barn doesn't have a combo that includes amphipods.

Copepods eat phytoplankton and amphipods eat copepods. But you need to constantly feed refugium with photo for them to feed on it. Live phyto is used more for gut loading or to have a very dense population. If no phyto is available They can very well feed on detritus and algae that grows in fuge. You can also feed ten crushed flake food, or certain algae powders, or any other "dead" phyto product.

Amphipods to a fuge if they eat copepods ?

Will amphipods larvae feed corals and other life?

My order of algae barn was pretty good. My one complaint would be, I ordered the mix of three; tisbe, apocalypse and tig, pretty sure I ended up with no tig pods. So slightly disappointed there.

My order came, it looks good.
Mine is a 90g water volume with lots of rock, refugium etc.

I got the bogo offer for

Thus have 2 phyto bottles..
Says expiry Jun 8.

Would they die if stored in a fridge past that date.
Can I dose the 2 bottles over
A month or two?

Am I better of giving one to another reefer...
