best sps for beginner

i have had lps and softies for 5 years and am looking to venture into sps. my sps only tank is a 40 breeder with 6 t5s with independent reflectors powered by fulham ballasts. i also have a 175 or 250 mh with 36" t12vho, but am choosing t5 for electrical savings. i have a mag 5 for return, 3 maxi jet 1200s on a wave master pro. i have a 29 gal sump with a euro reef 135 and chaeto. i will be running a shallow bed of sand, about 40ish lbs of rock and im getting some flow numbers of 350ish for return and about 800ish for internal flow. so that is roughly 1150/40=28.75 turnover. is that acceptable for sps? or would adding a 4 mj1200 be best.
please remember i am new to sps and have been reading everynight on here. i could just use the opinions for some help.
so what does the majority of ppl think would be best sps for me to begin with. :wavehand:

Firstly ensure your water tests fine for the big 5

Start with frags from established tanks.

Montipora caps & digitatas are pretty forgiving.

Green Slimer is pretty forgiving also.

Birdsnest and stylos are also good first sps. Aquacultured corals seem to be much more forgiving. Best of luck with your new addiction
