so I find my self in the market for another magnetic scrubber to clean the tanks. was looking at the flipper its a lil more than magfloats is it worth it?

did a search a few older threads came up, do ppl with them still love em? did that last for you?

tanks are a 90 and a 20L right now I have a small magfloat its going the job fine but was thing I could get another as not to cross contaminate..or am I just over thinking thinks there.

either way could like some clearer reviews of the flipper and other options.

cheers

Ive been using mine since dec of 2012 on my glass tank and love it way thinner and more usefull to me then my magfloat ever was

I got my Flipper a few years ago. I recently replaced the scraper blade. It stays in the tank 24/7 to encourage me to actually use it. IMHO, the best magnetic cleaner/scraper on the market. FWIW - I use the scraper side almost exclusively. I just ordered another for my 60g frag tank.

I guess the nice thing about the flipper is it has a scraper and a pad, where the tunze just has a scraper. But that's also a bad thing I guess, because the pad can trap sand and stuff and scratch the tank...

yeah I have a glass tank.

I hear some ppl say the scraper on the flipper in a bit weak. thoughts?
with normal use any chance to scratch the glass using the scraper part?

i'll look in the the tunze...

I have the Tunze care magnet and the two flippers the flippers are a little difficult to handle and the Tunze is very easy to handle Both will scrap off loose stuff off the glass but not hard corralling.

^ I guess nothing beats the good 'ol razed blade and some elbow grease.
that said I am liking the flipper i know it cant do it all but might just have to get one..

Nope, I use one on a few acrylic tanks, had to tie fishing line to the inside part. Separates pretty easily. Was being nice earlier but a pretty poor design in my opinion.
