best way to add plate coral

im thinking about buying a long tentacle plate today.
Whats the best wat to aclimate this guy?
It will have about a 30 min travel time from lfs

Temp acclimate and a short drip acclimation.

I would place it the sand for the first week, so that it become accustomed to the new lighting.

Yea, I would just keep it on the sand as well. I've seen people put them on rock or ledges but personally I think they do better in the sand.

How much flow should be on these guys?
I have my tentacles kinda gently going back and forth

Mine have always done better in low to medium flow.
