Best way to catch my Mandarin.

What is the best way to catch my Mandarin (he does seem to eat mysis)? What sort of trap? Coke bottle loaded with mysis?

I think I will catch ALL my fish/shrimp if I do that! \

He's not eating as well as I would hope, and despite 6 months in the tank alive, I fear for his well being and would like to catch it and give it away.

Drop a clear trap on him from above. Mine always swam upward when he thought he was being chased. After a few attempts it was pretty easy to get him.

I caught mine with one of those coke bottle traps with food in it. Took days, but he finally went in. It was small enough that I didn't catch any other fish and I didn't even catch any shrimp, but I did catch almost all of my hermits. They are always the first ones in a trap that has food in it.

Mine was fine with just a fish net...

Wait til the tank is dark, find out where he sleeps and you won't have any trouble reaching in with a net or your hand and just lifting him out. Be careful, be delicate: he'll be like a handful of jell-o.
