Best way to get wrasse out of sand, Catch fish in corner?

I'm starting the TTM today, or today is the first transfer. I have a beautiful Vrolik's wrasse that's sleeping in a container of sand. Should I shake the container, or wait until the wrasse comes out on his own? Really don't want loose this one.

Also on a side question, how do you catch a fish that lays in the corner of the quarantine, is there a better way? I used a clear container up against him them and kind of blew water and touched him with a plastic dropper, to get the blenny to swim in.

I use a collander to catch fish whenever I can. You shouldn't ever wake a wrasse out of the sand but in your case I'm not sure what other options you have available

I agree. A square or rectangular colander will work best.

Is the wrasse eating anything? Try putting some food in and seeing if he just comes out.

If the fish in the corner isn't venomous, you can always just use your fingers to scoop it out of the corner and catch it in a net.

The wrasse actually came out right after I posted that yesterday so all is good. He's eating I'll try that next time, he's been comming out everyday around noonish so he should be alright.

Not sure if the Midas Blennies are venomous, but he's being difficult when transferring that's for sure.

Midas Blennies are not venomous. To make it easier to catch, drain the water in the tank to a few inches. Makes it super easy to catch them.

When I TTM a sand sleeper, I do 48 hour transfers so that I have a 24hr window for him to come out on its own. I also add 3 more transfers just to be sure.
