Best way to increase PH in hypo salinity?

I was told to use Kent Marine "Pro Buffer dKH" to increase PH.

I dosed the proper amount and my PH is fine but alk is still VERY low. 5.4dKH.

What are the optimal water conditions for fish in qt tank?

I keep reading about ammonia and PH but nothing esle.

Thank god. :D

PH is currently 8.3.

So the only things important to fish are ammonia and ph ?

Well, oxygen is also important, and I could probably come up with a few more, but generally, most quarantine problems are ammonia. Fish are fairly relaxed about pH, really. Down to 7.8 and probably a bit lower is not a problem.

I have a maxijet 1200 pointing up towards the water surface and a aquaclear 30 hob filter. Is this enough to keep oxygen levels up or should I setup an air pump with bubble stone?

Im sorry your right I keep thinking dKH is oxygen level i need to stop this. :p
